Perry Street Townhomes

Mount Rainier, MD

The townhomes were factory-built modular construction by Beracah Homes in Delaware. The 20-foot-wide boxes were shipped on flatbed trailers and craned into the site. Typical townhome interior Solar panels were installed over a green roof, the first such installation in the United States. Rooftop vegetation has the dual benefit of reducing stormwater runoff and helping insulate the home from summer solar heat gain and winter heat loss. The solar array provides most of energy needs of the townhomes. Rear yard looking toward the detached garage
